Because the central government has launched Advanced Postal Technology (Post Office Apt Service) project with an investment of about 5800 crore rupees.
Recently Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia termed it as a historic step in India’s digital journey. He is claiming that through this project, Indian Post will become a world class public organization. But what are the benefits of this service?
What is this advanced postal technology?
Advanced Postal Technology (Post Office Apt Service) Hall is a new digital service of the postal department. Through this, the service of the post office will be faster, modern and transparent. Earlier banking and insurance services were added to the post office under the IT Modernization 1.0 project. But this time as part of the IT 2.0 program, the postal department of the entire country is being brought under modern technology.

The biggest thing is that about 4.6 lakh post office workers have been officially trained for this new system from now on. Besides, under the policy of “Train, Retrain, Refresh”, every worker has been made suitable, so that there is no shortage of services.
What will the common man gain from this service?
This project (Post Office Apt Service) Since its launch, the modern experience will reach the customers directly. Yes, real time tracking of parcels or letters will now be easily available through SMS. Besides, with the help of GPS, the peons will reach the right address at the right time and there will be payment facility through OTP confirmation and QR code. Even to reduce the risk of wrong delivery, a 10-digit DG PIN is being launched and post office services are easily available from mobile.
The Indian Postal Department is the largest network in our world, with more than 1.65 lakh post offices. And this new system has been launched through the government’s Meghraj 2.0 cloud. And its network connection is given by BSNL. It should be noted that this system handled 32 lakh bookings and 37 lakh deliveries simultaneously on the first day. The project was even launched as a pilot technology in Karnataka Circle on May 15. After that, it has been added to all the post offices of the country step by step. Yes, this system came to 1,70,353 post offices by August 4.
