When these places are touched by more than one person, the virus spreads from one person to another. The number of eye problems in the city is seen in the number of patients. In the words of Soham, “Around 60-70 conjunctivitis patients have increased every day in our clinics across the city.”

Why Conjunctivitis in Monsoon?
The most common cause of this disease is adenovirus. Other viruses such as enteroviruses or rotaviruses can also cause pink eye. Sometimes several symptoms like cold, fever, sore throat and pink eye appear together. This disease is also known as Faringo-conjunctivitis. Another major cause of conjunctivitis is microsporidia. A group of microscopic parasites that are exposed to dirty or clay water can cause infection.
How can this disease be prevented?
1. Avoid touching the eyes as much as possible, especially where your hands may be exposed to the virus.
2. If it is pink eye/conjunctivitis, do not allow others to use objects that come in contact with the eyes such as your towel, pillow, handkerchief etc. And it is not right to use anyone else at this time.
3. The duration of this infection is 5-7 days. During this period others are likely to be infected. So it is better to be separate for some time at this time.
How to cure conjunctivitis?
In the words of Dr. Soham Basak,Most viral infections are cured by themselves. Eye drops and ointments are given to reduce eye irritation, eye irritation. Medicines are also given for swelling of the eyelids or cornea. Also, if this is the case, it is better to consult a doctor immediately in this regard.
