Kolkata, 18 May, 2025: Great news for police personnel engaged in law and order in the country. The Rajasthan Government has announced that the allowance of police personnel will be increased in one leap, which is going to deposit extra money in their bank accounts in the coming days. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has announced the important move, which is expected to improve the financial condition of the police personnel and increase their effectiveness.
Who will benefit from increasing the allowance of Rajasthan police?
According to the guidelines of the Rajasthan government, police personnel from Constable to Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) will now receive Rs 8,000 as uniform allowance, which was earlier Rs 7000. This extended allowance will be given every year for their uniform requirements. Also, the mesh allowance for officers up to the police inspector has been increased from Rs 2400 to Rs 2700.
Not only the police force, but also the workers of the rank of prison department, warders, senior warders, head warders, deputy district and district ranks have come under this facility. Besides, Constable, Driver and Head Constable level employees of Home Guard Department will also get an additional Rs 10,000 salary allowance.
When will this new rule of Rajasthan police come into effect?
According to the guidelines issued by the government (Rajasthan Government), these new allowance rates will be effective from April 2025. That is, from the month of May, the increased allowance money will start entering the bank account of the workers.
Other facilities and modernization of Rajasthan Police
It is to be noted that earlier Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma had made several important announcements on the foundation day of the police. According to that announcement, free travel has been provided for police personnel on Roadway Express and Semi Deluxe buses. In addition, a special fund of Rs 200 crore was also announced for the modernization of the police system and the development of the related infrastructure. All these measures are expected to boost the morale of the Rajasthan police and improve their working environment.
