Charges in UPI, prices in LPG, new rules on credit cards! What is changing from August 1? Find out now

Changes from 1 August: Only a few more days and then the month of August will fall. And at the beginning of every new month, some new rules are reduced by the government. So they did not go otherwise in the month of August. Therefore, from August 1, 2025, several rules are going to be changed. Know what rules are changing before the start of the month. Some of the rules that will change next August 1 are credit cards, UPI, LPG, CNG, bank holidays and aircraft fuel prices.

LPG gas cylinder price change

LPG and commercial cylinder prices may change from next month. Like every month, on August 1, oil companies set the price of cylinders. In July, the price of 19 kg cylinders increased, the price of commercial cylinders was reduced by Rs 60. However, the price of LPG gas remained unchanged. But it is expected that LPG can be cheap on August 1. Which is great news for all middle class families.

CNG and PNG price change

This year i.e. from April 2025, the price has not changed yet. In Mumbai, CNG was Tk 79.50 per kg and PNG was Tk 49 per unit. Now the price is likely to change from August 1.

Changes in UPI Payment Rules

Nowadays most of the people who make payment through UPI. From now on, new rules will be applicable for them. If you use Paytm, PhonePe or Google Pay, National Payments Corporation of India has imposed some limits. For example, you can check the balance only 50 times a day and check the bank accounts linked to the mobile number 25 times.

ATF price

On August 1, aircraft fuel i.e. ATF prices are also likely to change. This could affect the price of airline tickets on the price change.

If you use SBI card, from August 11, you can get free air tickets on some co-branded cards. SBI, UCO Bank, Central Bank, PSB, Karur Vaishya Bank and Allahabad Bank used to provide insurance covers of Tk 50 lakh to Tk 1 crore in some cards. From now on this facility is being closed, which could be a shock for cardholders.
