Government Employees: It’s hot in the spring! Generally, the heatwave has started in the state in April-May, but this time the mercury has started to rise in the middle of March. The temperature has already reached 40 degrees in several districts of South Bengal. It is becoming virtually impossible to go out on the road at noon. People’s life is disturbed by the hot sun. Due to intense heat in various districts including Kolkata, the schedule of schools and colleges has been changed, this time Nabanna has also taken a new decision in the case of government employees.
It’s hard to work in the sun for a long time
Just sitting in the office does not end the responsibility. In many cases of government job (government job) one has to work in the field. Many workers have to handle the responsibility despite the sun, rain and cold. Especially the police, health, transport (transport) and municipality workers have to work on the streets. But when the temperature reaches extremes, this task becomes more difficult. That’s why the state government made a big announcement thinking about the employees.
6 hours duty instead of 8 hours! Who will get benefits?
According to Nabanna’s new directive, the daily working hours of hundreds of thousands of government employees have been reduced from 8 hours to 6 hours. This facility is given especially for those who do field work. The decision has been taken for the traffic police personnel of the state, as it is becoming very difficult to work on the streets day after day in extreme heat. Besides, some employees of the municipality and the health department will also come under this facility.
How to change the schedule of employees?
According to government instructions, the shift of traffic police personnel will be changed. From now on they will do 6 hours of duty a day. That is, you have to work 2 hours less than before. This will reduce the pressure on their health and they will be able to perform more carefully. Besides, it is known that there may be changes in the schedule for the workers of the health department.
Relief from the heat, workers at ease
Traffic police personnel are happy with the decision of the state. A worker said, “You have to do duty day after day in the hot sun. Many times I get sick in the heat. This decision of the government is really relieved for us.” Common people also think that this decision is absolutely right. Because the quality of service will also be good if the health of the employees is maintained. However, it is not yet clear whether the employees of other government offices will get this facility or not. However, judging by the current situation, it is assumed that the government may take bigger decisions in the future.
